WHAT IS ARTWEAR?
Artwear is a term coined when streetwear is combined with original art. This term can only be applied when original artwork is used in the process, as opposed to generic graphics placed on clothing.
WHY ARE DESIGNS ONLY AVAILABLE IN SPECIFIC COLOURS?
The ground colour for each sweater design is chosen specifically by Audrey to compliment the artwork. For this reason, each piece is unique to the title of the artwork. We steer clear of producing designs in multiple colourways as it's felt this dilutes the essense of each piece.
WHAT MAKES AUDREY HAMILTON | APPAREL SWEATERS SO UNIQUE?
Audrey Hamilton | Art designs are all 100% originally painted by Audrey. We like customers to understand that they are not simply purchasing a 'sweater', but are investing in a piece of art and that we have done our absolute best to ensure long lasting wear for each piece.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU RELEASE NEW ITEMS?
We follow an art release model as opposed to the traditional seasonal fashion model, meaning a new piece is released every 6-8 weeks. We also release limited quantities of each piece so as not to over-saturate the design, and allow us to play our part as a slow-fashion brand.
ARE YOU A CLOTHING BRAND OR ART BRAND?
At our heart, Audrey Hamilton | Apparel is an art brand. Each piece is reimagined based of the original painting to create it's own unique identity. Our sweaters are simply a different medium of artistic expression.
WHAT MATERIALS ARE USED TO CREATE AN AUDREY HAMILTON | APPAREL SWEATER?
All our statement sweaters are manufactured to the highest quality. We use only premium 100% cotton varied in two different weights. We only use world-class printing techniques and process to create our sweaters.
ARE YOUR SWEATERS MADE SUSTAINIBILY IN LINE WITH GARMENT MANUFACTURING?
Yes. We chose our manufacturing partner based off their excellence in quality but more importantly their commitment to sustainable practices. You can view a full list of their accreditations on the About page.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE STUDIO AND CASUAL COLLECTIONS?
Our exclusive Studio Collection is the signature range of Audrey Hamilton. The collection features specifically chosen premium artworks and each sweater comes in a 450gsm weight cotton. Our Casual Collection is created using the same quality, however, they are made using a lighter 250gsm weight cotton, and feature artworks for the more casual everyday feel.
DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS ON YOUR ARTWEAR PIECES?
We sometimes have items on sale, but not in a traditional sense, and we never indulge in Black Friday. We do however thank our customers for their support in our own way. These include our renowned Drop Code Weekends, and our 24|24 Club. We strongly encourage people to sign up to our Exclusive Access Club so they can be the first to know about these promotions.
IS IT TRUE YOU GIFT A SOLID WOOD AUDREY HAMILTON | APPAREL HANGER WITH YOUR SWEATERS?
Yes. In the past all sweaters came with our custom made solid wood AHA hanger. However, the decision was made recently to reallocate our hangers to the Studio Collection pieces only.
WHY ARE YOUR SHIPPING TIMES LONGER THAN MOST BRANDS?
We make every effort to ship customer orders within our given shipping times, however, unlike most brands, we do not use a third party distribution centre. Customers are guaranteed that their piece is personally hand prepared in-studio by our team.
