Founded 2021, Audrey Hamilton | Apparel is the premium apparel brand from award winning Artist and Founder, Audrey Hamilton.
Audrey Hamilton is known as a pop art artist for her colourful and expressive pieces. Her apparel collection simply an extension from her canvas to a new medium, cotton. Her commitment to slow fashion is represented in the rarity of her releases by not following the traditional fashion model, but rather that of an art collector. She recently won the EIR x VIP Publishing - Power Of Women Award for Best Creative Brand 2024
CHOOSING THE ARTWORKS
One of the biggest decisions made at Audrey Hamilton | Apparel is which artworks are chosen to be reimagined as their own artwear piece.
Audrey carefully decides this based on colour, print technique, and ultimately if the original painting will retain its essence for the customer, and the piece itself. Not all artworks work sadly, so careful consideration is needed.
DESIGN & PROTOTYPING
This is a crucial part of the design process. Each piece is carefully 3D modeled to ensure the style and fit compliment the artwork.
The original scanned artwork files are then carefully sized and positioned according to Audrey's vision and designs.
Each garment ground colour is carefully selected to not only compliment the artwork, but to imbue the new created piece in it's own right.
FABRICS & MATERIALS
At Audrey Hamilton | Apparel, only the best quality fabrics are considered. We always produce our garments using 100% Cotton.
Our Casual Collection is created using a 250gsm lightweight cotton, while our exclusive Studio Collection pieces require a heavier 450gsm weight cotton. This decision also contributes to the composition of the piece.
PRINTING TECHNIQUES
When dealing in premium artwear, mediocre printing techniques are not accepted.
At Audrey Hamilton | Apparel we only use world-class printing machines and techniques to match that of other luxury brands. This process many times includes multiple digital screens to ensure the prints retain the paintings intricate details.
Each sweater comes with it's own printing types including 3D, Puff Print, Box Print, and Transfers.
SEWING CRAFTSMANSHIP
There are two ways to sew garments...badly, and exceptionally. At Audrey Hamilton | Apparel, we choose the latter.
Our garments are hand-sewn by master seamstresses to ensure the composition on each sweater is to the highest grade. This speciality trade requires enormous skill and experience found in very few premium garment manufacturers.
